Job 5:2 For vexation and rage kill the foolish man; jealousy and indignation slay the simple. 3 I have seen the foolish taking root [and outwardly prospering], but suddenly I saw that his dwelling was cursed [for his doom was certain].
Proverbs 19:11 Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense.
I just heard a doctor say an effective way of improving your immune system is by managing your anger
I add that forgiveness greatly improves your immune system.
What does the bible say about The Lord’s prayer? “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”
Unforgiveness does more harm to us than good. The Holy Spirit cannot work within us if we do not forgive. If we learn to let go of issues, self, people that hurt us, we stand a greater chance to be healthy and live long.
Its like a monkey trap shaped like a box with a hole and a rounded object inside that box purposed to attract the monkey. Once the monkey sticks his hand into the box to get a hold of the object inside and folds his hands not letting go of the object, that monkey would be unable to remove its hand because of its stubbornness. And that stubbornness will lead to the monkey’s death. If only that monkey had learnt to let go of that object, it would have avoided death.
This analogy applies to an unforgiving person. So please learn to manage your anger and learn to forgive
